In 1972 I was born in Florida. Yeah, I am that old. My family moved to Dayton, Ohio when I was five. Go Buckeyes! I was active with the Boy Scouts from age eight to twenty-one. I now proudly wear my Eagle Scout tattoo on my left arm.

As a young musician, my career consisted of making bad sounds from a violin for three years; before I finally gave it up and joined the wrestling team in seventh grade. All embarrassing pictures of me in wrestling tights should be burned and never spoken of again. When I learned you couldn’t hit and choke your opponent, I gave up wrestling for martial arts. I eventually earned my second-degree black belt in Ju-Jitsu and Arnis. I used to be a “Bad Mama Jamma”.

It was around seventh grade that I also started focusing on my artwork. I won several awards from various art competitions during junior and high school. I graduated from Beavercreek High in 1991 with my portfolio and hopes and dreams of making art my livelihood. I studied at Ohio University earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1995. It was a critical time for pushing myself creatively. Some of the art I created back then is still powerful to me today. That formal art training serves me well as I push myself with tattooing.

I used my shiny new degree to start teaching art. I started in Ohio then came to Georgia. I was a teacher for eight years. I won several teaching awards, and was nominated for “Teacher of the Year” several times. Over those years, I had been getting tattooed; each piece getting progressively larger and of higher quality. Being an artist, I was fascinated by the process.

After a lot of research, I decided that All or Nothing was the best place to learn how to tattoo. In March of 2005 I started my apprenticeship at AON. It was hard, very hard. Good apprenticeships are; and I feel that I got the best.

One of my largest achievements was the day that I was hired as an artist at All or Nothing. I feel pushed to make my art better with each piece I do. This is an exciting place to work. I will continue to push myself to create incredible, vibrant, living pieces of art that my clients will cherish for the rest of their lives. Please keep checking out my work as it grows.
